- Are you looking for new and innovative strategies?
- Do you aim for an evidence-based strategy?
- Do you need to assess if your strategies have been cost-effective?
- Do you need to consult with stakeholders about contentious matters?
- Are you seeking to change people’s attitudes and behaviors?
- Do you need support to implement a strategy?
What we do?
- We support evidence based policy making through research, surveys and evaluation;
- We develop an understanding of peoples’ attitudes and behaviors – and how and why these vary between people – so that strategies can be based an understanding of beliefs and perceptions;
- Identify new and alternative ways of improving public health and safety, whether this is through education, incentives, partnerships or regulation;
- We enable dialogue with stakeholders through truly interactive communication and engagement - to identify their issues and concerns, solicit their thoughts on solutions and 'reality check' proposals;
- We develop applications, guides and communications materials - produce communications materials that use latest electronic technology, and which 'speak to' people in their own terms.
Typical Issues
- How can you change peoples' perceptions of a risk, such as the risk of flooding or fire in the home?
- Was a public safety campaign cost-effective?
- Does an exercise promotion scheme work equally well for all types of people?
- How can you change the health related behaviors of people who do not currently exercise?
- How can partnerships between public and third sector organizations help deliver a public safety initiative?
- Would it be cost effective to mainstream a piloted safety promotion scheme?
